New Moms at the Museum – October 16, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. • Join a uniquely enriching gathering at the Laguna Art Museum, specially designed for new parents. Immerse yourself in an artistic symphony of education, enlightenment, and socialization. Delight in an introduction to a featured piece of art by its knowledgeable museum staff. Benefit from the wisdom of specialists, offering insights on self-care and newborn matters during the fourth trimester and beyond. Experts hail from the realm of midwifery, doula services, newborn care, nutrition, acupuncture, massage therapy, and more. The final 45 minutes are dedicated to mingling and connecting. They encourage you to bring a yoga mat for your little one and a cozy blanket for added warmth. Please note that this event is tailored for infants to six months. Wish of a Lifetime – October 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. • Child of war, Holocaust survivor, mother, and artist — Inna was born in Ukraine in 1941. A Wish of a Lifetime brings Inna to the Laguna Art Museum to share her life story and to fulfill her wish of showing her painting in an art museum. Movie-Made Los Angeles: Lecture and Book Signing – October 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. • Embark on a captivating exploration of the historic ties between Laguna and early Hollywood with renowned film professor and author John Trafton. Meet the author and have your copy of his latest masterpiece, Movie-Made Los Angeles, personally signed after the program. Uncover the cinematic origins of Los Angeles before the birth of the silver screen. Discover how Southern California's artistic heritage laid the foundation for Hollywood's rise.
